TIKTOK TRAVELING GRANNIES HIGHLIGHT THE POWER OF FRIENDSHIP

Meet Eleanor Hamby and Dr. Sandra Hazelip, best friends in their early 80s, whose friendship led to viral fame. This pair of globe-trotting seniors inspire people with their wanderlust.
They became TikTok hits when their "Around the World in 80 Days: At 81 and Still on the Run" project garnered tremendous attention.
But the trip was more than a homage to Jules Verne's novel; it was their ticket to explore the world.
And oh boy, did they explore!
From Antarctica to the Grand Canyon, they saw wonders most people only dream of visiting.
The duo visited 18 countries and eight of the world's wonders throughout their adventure. Their updates captivated thousands of followers and generated over a million likes.
Encounters with diverse cultures and breathtaking landscapes highlight their shared love of travel and the spirit of adventure.

But these women are more than social media sensations.
They manage to balance professional responsibilities with their globe-trotting escapes. Dr. Hazelip continues to work at a hospice center while Ms. Hamby supports a medical mission.
But they’re not calling it quits anytime soon.
South America is on their radar for 2024, and they look forward to more trips, adventures, and unforgettable memories in the future.
The lesson here is simple: embrace life and people with open arms.
Hambsy and Hazelip’s travels taught them to trust in people's goodness and the power of a smile.
So, if you're considering going on an adventure, remember the TikTok Traveling Grannies' motto: Age is just a number.

☀️ The Bright Side
Kelly, “the Breakfast Lady,” has been cooking up a storm for the unhoused in Chatsworth since last year.
Thanks to Kelly's generosity, the area brightens on Sunday with meals featuring French toast, omelets, sausage, and fruit.
Despite the growing encampment controversy, Kelly remains undeterred. She packs her car and portable stove once a week and feeds as many people as she can.
While authorities grapple with the issue, Kelly commits to her mission: to help those most in need.
She says she's the one who receives the biggest gift.
So, if you're ever in Chatsworth and smell French toast in the air, know it's Kelly, making the world a bit better—one breakfast at a time.

This light-up Pokeball diorama is how I like to imagine life inside one of those things.
Look at the detail on that water and the cherry blossom. I’m willing to bet that it took patience and a steady hand to pull it off.
Plus, the sleeping Vulpix completes the look. Even non-Pokemon fans have to admit that this craft is pretty cool!
