A service for writing letters to the dead
Tulsa’s remote relocation plan pays off
Amritsar is a special city in India

CHANNELING GRIEF THROUGH LETTERS

You've heard of letters to Santa, but what about letters to the departed?
The Postal Service for the Dead, an ongoing project since November 2022, is a heartfelt initiative that lets you do it! You write a letter to your dearly departed, stamp it, and mail it.
Grief doesn't keep a calendar.
It can pop up on birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, and random Tuesdays. This service offers a way to channel your grief into catharsis. Your letters can range from expressions of gratitude to grievances.
Every grief story is unique.
To ensure privacy, they've devised a simple yet efficient system.
You indicate on the envelope whether you want your letter read by the team, shared publicly (anonymously), or kept private. Based on your choice, the team will either open, read, and share your letter or keep it safely tucked away.
To overwhelmed by what to write? Fear not; they've got writing prompts on their platforms. The goal is to make your letter personal and meaningful.
Check out the group’s Instagram and Facebook pages and witness the power of shared healing. And if you are interested in supporting this initiative, spread the word or buy their merchandise.
In the end, Postal Service for the Dead isn't about sending letters to a PO Box in Los Angeles.
It's about offering a tangible outlet for your grief, an envelope to seal your tears, and a chance to say whatever's left unsaid.
Because when it comes to grief, every word matters.

☀️ The Bright Side

Welcome to Amritsar, India!
This northern city isn't just known for its beautiful Golden Temple or tasty food. Here in Amritsar, no one goes to bed with an empty stomach.
Sounds unreal. But it's true.
Thanks to the Sikh tradition of "seva," which means helping others without expecting anything in return, everyone gets a hot meal. The city's heart, the Golden Temple, has a massive community kitchen open 24/7.
Every day, they serve up to 100,000 meals.
In Amritsar, they fill every plate with kindness, and every meal is a promise: here, you'll never go hungry.

✨ Feel-Good Friday

Ever found yourself waking up on a Saturday feeling like life handed you a magical blank check of time?
You could do your usual thing, but let's crank up the excitement knob. This weekend, why not be a daring explorer in your backyard?
Choosing to go on a spontaneous, local trip is like playing hide and seek with adventure—you never know what cool spots you'll uncover.
Maybe there's a hidden hiking trail just an hour's drive away, a quaint café in the next town, or a scenic lake perfect for a refreshing dip hiding in plain sight. Who knew?!
Can a local trip bring me that sweet vacation rush?
By choosing the road less traveled, you’re ditching the predictable. This trip equals excitement and novelty, which are the main ingredients of the vacation vibe.
Spontaneous trips also let you take a well-deserved break from your planner. No itineraries, no alarms. You're running on Adventure Time this weekend, not Pacific or Eastern Standard Time!
The best part? It's a growth potion in disguise.
Discovering unknown parts of your local area, trying that odd-sounding dish at the corner diner, or finding a stunning sunset spot you never knew existed all add to your life's experience jar.
So go on, embrace spontaneity this weekend. Even if you take a wrong turn and discover the World's Second Largest Ball of Twine, you'll still get a remarkable story, a good laugh, and the thrill of adventure.
Now get out there; your local discovery awaits!
